Training packages are reviewed regularly to keep up with changes in the industry and the workplace. Updating the training packages ensures students are issued with a qualification that meets the current skill needs of an industry or workplace.

This review and updating process is also applied to First Aid qualifications.

The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) released new versions of the HLT Health Training Package. These updates have been made to reflect industry best practices, expectations and current regulations.

From 1 July 2022, HLTAID003 Provide First Aid will no longer be delivered.

Life Saving First Aid is delivering the new, revised First Aid unit HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

If you require a First Aid certificate for employment purposes, you will need to complete the updated course code HLTAID011 Provide First Aid.

Before enrolling on a course, talk to your employer to ensure you are meeting their requirements. If you really need to complete the replaced First Aid unit, please contact us to discuss your options (03) 9052 4558.

All certificates issued to students for an old training unit will remain valid until the expiry date of that certificate.

However, the next First Aid course you complete will be the new First Aid unit, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
